What Happens During a Roof Maxx Treatment?

Four steps: an inspection, a custom quote, a tune-up, and the application.

If you're considering roof restoration, it helps to know what the treatment day looks like before you schedule anything. A Roof Maxx treatment follows four steps: an inspection, a custom quote, a tune-up, and the application.

Step 1: Your Free Roof Health Checkup

Before anything goes on your roof, we inspect it to see whether it qualifies, and that visit is free. We're looking for an asphalt shingle roof that is aging but structurally sound. We won't treat a roof with repeated problems or one that has lost 30% or more of its protective granules.

Step 2: Your Custom Quote

If your roof qualifies, you'll get a free quote, so you know what the treatment would cost before you decide anything. Financing is available, and you can ask about it when you get your quote.

Step 3: The Tune-Up

On treatment day, your technician starts by replacing or securing loose or missing shingles, resealing flashings, hammering down and sealing nail pops, and checking the structure. That way, the treatment goes onto a roof that has been looked over and tuned up first.

Step 4: The Application

Once the roof is ready, the plant-based treatment goes on and soaks into your asphalt shingles to restore their flexibility. The whole job takes a few hours, while a roof replacement often takes a week or more.

After the Treatment

One treatment extends the life of your shingles by five years, and a repeat treatment about every five years can add up to 15 years. Our 15-year transferable warranty covers the flexibility of the shingles we treat. Damage from wind or hail should be covered by your homeowners insurance rather than the warranty.
